Editiones Bipontinae

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Editiones Bipontinae are book editions of the works of important ancient authors, which were published between 1779 and 1811 by the publishing house Societas Bipontina , founded in Zweibrücken (Latin Bipontum ) . They were valued because they were largely free from errors and are still in demand today among lovers of old books ( bibliophilia ). A comprehensive collection of the Editiones Bipontinae is kept in the Zweibrücken Bibliotheca Bipontina .
