Editoriale Campi is an Italian publisher best known for its Barbanera almanac and calendar.

history

The publishing house was founded in Foligno in 1892 by Giuseppe Campi . Already in the first years the publishing house specialized in popular publications like the pianeti della fortuna ("lucky planets", predictions printed on colored sheets) or the loose sheets, on which wondrous occurrences and curious events were described in rhyme . All of these publications were once sold by hawkers at fairs and markets.

In the 1930s the publishing house became the most important Italian producer of music sheets, i. H. loose leaves with the lyrics of songs that were just popular on radio and television. In 1952, at the suggestion of Giuseppe's son Agostino Campi, Italy's first music magazine went to press: Sorrisi e Canzoni d'Italia , later renamed TV Sorrisi e Canzoni . The contract has held sole rights to the Barbanera brand since the middle of the 20th century

Since 2020 the company has been registered in the Register of Historic Italian Companies .
