GloryDaze is a German band from Munich .

The group is assigned to the genres of rock , hard rock , heavy metal and AOR . Formative musical influences were mainly bands from the 1980s such as B. Iron Maiden , Judas Priest , Queensrÿche and Accept .

history

The band was founded in 2007 by Eric Schwencke (drums), Harry Krause (guitar), Steve Wendlandt (guitar) and Tscharlie Schütz (bass). After a long search, Christian Wolf finally joined in 2008 as the first singer. From the beginning, the band relied on their own songs, which were initially taken from the repertoire of previous bands and adapted for the style of GloryDaze. Very soon some new songs were written together.

All band members have been active in the Munich music scene for many years, with various bands since the 1980s. The best known are likely to be Avalon, Lovetrick and Dreamscape .

In 2010 the first singer Christian Wolf left the group and was replaced by Frank Libal, who raised the quality of the band to a new level with his extraordinary voice and experience as a professional musician (Lovetrick).

In 2011 Frank Libal brought his long-time friend and colleague Many Stürner into the band, who is known in Munich as “Dio von Moosach” and who enjoyed great success with previous bands such as Avalon, Trick or Treat and Rotten Rose. Frank Libal and Many Stürner initially shared the job as singer and front man, until Frank Libal left the microphone to Many Stürner alone for professional reasons.

Between 2014 and 2016, the first album Octavirus was created with 10 own songs, which was released in October 2016.

In 2018 founding member Tscharlie Schütz left the band for health reasons. Since then, Ralf “Ramirez” Reiche has been the new man on bass.
