layout

Edmodo's user interface is similar to that of Facebook . Edmodo enables teachers to supervise both school classes and student homework. Pupils and students can send their homework and show it to their class or seminar. The transmission is fast and goes without paper. Teachers eliminate cross-posting by creating sub-groups in a course. After the run is complete, the teacher ends the course and creates a new assignment for the next course.

groups

Groups are for one student in Edmodo classes. When a teacher in the group makes a notification, it is displayed in the notification window. Teachers and participating students can also send direct messages to each other. Two newer features consist of tests of open-ended or multiple-choice questions and characters that a teacher can assign to a student.

history

Edmodo was invented as a safe microblogging medium for students and teachers by Nicolas Borg and Jeff O'Hara, who are technologists at various schools in the Chicago area. In 2010, Edmodo launched "Subject" and "Editor" communities as a digital media library, a help center and as high-level accounts for communication with teachers, parents and students.
