Eduard Dörge (born February 14, 1841 in Bedra ; † December 28, 1925 there ) was a German blacksmith and inventor of the tilting plow .

Life

Dörge worked as a master blacksmith in his father's homestead in Bedra. His most famous invention is the tipping plow, which is still in use today. This can be rotated 180 degrees around its own axis and thus enables plowing in the opposite direction following the previously plowed row. Several of his works are still preserved.

His son Karl continued the trade and expanded the business again. With his death in 1966, this tradition died out.
