Eduard Groppe

Eduard Groppe (* in Höxter ; † 1909 ) was a German publisher and bookseller.

Life

In 1865 he founded his own publishing house in Trier , after having been an apprentice in Paderborn (near Schöningh) and a. a. Had worked in Dresden and Cologne .

Eduard Groppe was the founder of the Trierischer Werbungblatt, today's Trierischer Volksfreund . Groppe also published the Catholic Sunday paper Eucharius and in 1883 Geiler's writings selected by Kaisersberg .

His son was the General Theodor Groppe , his grandson was the Jesuit and publicist Lothar Groppe .

His great-grandson was the photographer, journalist and book author Heinz-Peter Baecker .
