Eduard Stolba

Eduard Stolba (born September 14, 1908 in Abbazia , Istria , † after 1954) was an Austrian film architect .

Live and act

Eduard Stolba trained as a theater painter and then worked in this profession. He also worked as a portrait and landscape painter. In 1935 he switched to film, where he also created scenery paintings, for example for the films Silhouettes , Lumpacivagabundus , Premiere , Mirror of Life, A Hopeless Case, Immortal Waltz, Linen from Ireland , Anton the Last and Mother's Love (all between 1936 and 1939).

During the Second World War, Stolba advanced to the position of film architect and in this role worked with his colleagues Werner Schlichting and Otto Niedermoser, who are more established in the industry . Stolba remained active as a scene designer until the mid-1950s, when he withdrew from film. Since then his track has been lost.
