Edwin Penhorwood
Edwin Penhorwood (* 1939 ) is an American composer and currently works at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University .
Life
Penhorwood grew up in Toledo and studied music at the University of Iowa . He received lessons at the International School of Zurich , the Church Music School Berlin , the University of Missouri , and Indiana University . He is the music director of the Graduate Opera Workshop and has taught piano accompaniment. Penhorwood has composed numerous vocal and choral works. One of his better known works is the comic opera " Too many sopranos ".
He is married to the soprano Costanza Cuccaro .
