Efremova Island ( English ; Russian Остров Ефремова Ostrow Efremowa ) is an island off the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It lies east of Winterover Bay in the Rauer Islands group .
Russian scientists mapped and named them. Australian scientists took another survey. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated the Russian name into English in 1991. The further naming background has not been passed down.
