Eggerather Hof
The Eggerather Hof is one of the three field farms around Holzweiler , a district of Erkelenz . The Eggerather Hof is the oldest of the three courtyards, it was mentioned in a document in 1197. Presumably the farm was still a settlement with several farms until the early modern period . The farm itself was owned by noble families such as those from Lerodt, Tüschenbroich or Wickrath . The water-fenced courtyard complex dates from 1754.
Actually listed courtyard to the lignite - Garzweiler canceled about 2,045 and its inhabitants to be resettled before.
