Marriage law
The marriage law means:
- Marriage Act (Austria) , the law on marriage and divorce in Austria
- Marriage Act (Germany) , a law no longer applicable in Germany
- Marriage Law (China) , the law governing marriage in the People's Republic of China
In the Roman Empire :
The Roman Emperor Augustus enacted marriage laws aimed at solving the problem of the population gap. Men between 25 and 60 and women between 20 and 50 years had to be married accordingly. If not, they would have to pay fines.
