Former Jesuit monastery (Düsseldorf)

The former Jesuit monastery at Andreasstrasse 4, 6, 8 in Düsseldorf is a listed building. The building was used by the city administration until 2009. It is identical to the Stadthaus (Düsseldorf) on Mühlenstrasse.

The building was built in 1650. Conversions were made in 1816 by Franz Andreas Lehmann and Friedrich Kelderhoff for the Prussian district government. In 1823 Karl Friedrich Schinkel rebuilt the facade in the style of Berlin Classicism. The house has a facade length of 19 axes and a depth of two axes. Floor- delimiting cornices , window frames, ashlar plaster and a portal that was modeled on the Italian Renaissance structure the facade.
