The honor goblet for the winner in the aerial combat was a combat award of the German air force in the First World War .

The award was generally given for the first aerial victory, although the actual award sometimes took place some time later. Towards the end of the war only deeds of ownership were issued and issued. The exact number of awards is unknown. But it is probably around 2,411 honorary cups awarded.

The Imperial Navy had its own air force during World War I. First of all, successful pilots could also be awarded the honorary cup. The Naval Aviation Prize was created at the beginning of 1917 and was awarded around 182 times by the end of the war.

There was also another, even rarer German award, the honor goblet for successful attacks from the air . This was very rarely awarded, e.g. B. Members of the crews of Zeppelin bombers or for certain successful attacks.
