The Cup of Honor for Special Achievement in Air Warfare was a military award given by the German Air Force during World War II .

The cup was donated on February 27, 1940 by Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring , Reich Minister for Aviation and Commander in Chief of the Air Force. It is also known unofficially as the "Luftwaffe Cup of Honor". The award was only given to the flying personnel. Its bearers were named in the magazine Ehrenliste der Deutschen Luftwaffe . German records show that it was awarded around 58,000 times, but only 13,000–15,000 carriers were actually named.

The award was given to pilots who already owned the Iron Cross First Class, but whose performance was not yet sufficient to receive the German Cross or the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross .

The cup was made in two versions: from fine silver or from nickel silver - the transition from fine to nickel silver took place around March 1942. It is 228 mm high with a diameter of 100 mm. The cup was made from four parts, which were then put together. The obverse shows two eagles in agony, while an iron cross is applied on the reverse. The base of the cup is decorated with oak leaves and acorns.
