The Badge of Honor Dzierzynski-Sportler was a sports award from the Ministry for State Security in the German Democratic Republic , which was donated in 1988.

The needle was awarded to all members of the Feliks Dzierzynski Guard Regiment , regardless of rank, after fulfilling the award conditions, which consisted of military sports activities.

The pin of honor is gold-plated and shows a shield-shaped, red lacquered emblem on a stylized round laurel wreath, the rounded tips of which extend beyond the laurel wreath. In the middle of the shield, on a gold medallion, is the portrait of Feliks Dzierżyński's head looking to the left . Beneath him is the gold badge of the Dynamo sports association . The portrait is surrounded by the golden inscription: EHRENNADEL (above) as well as DZIERZYNSKI (left) and SPORTLER (right). The back of the badge is smooth and shows a horizontally soldered needle with a counter hook.

The badge of honor was worn above the right breast pocket on the uniform above the classification clasp, but alongside other best badges acquired .
