Badge of honor of the organs of the administration of justice - GDR

The badge of honor of the organs of the administration of justice was an award of the authorities (organs) in the area of administration of justice in the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was donated on August 14, 1965 by the Council of Ministers of the GDR in one step. The badge of honor was awarded for special achievements or long-term services to voluntary employees or members of the administration of justice by the local representation of the relevant body.

Appearance and wearing style

In its first form, the badge of honor consists of a 25 mm wide clasp in the shape of a waving banner with the two-line inscription: SOCIALISTIC / RECHTSPFLEGE . On both sides of this clasp there was a carrying eyelet to which the state coat of arms of the GDR with a diameter of 20 mm was attached. A variant of the first form is the suspension of the national coat of arms on two eyelets. The second form of the needle, which was introduced at a previously unknown point in time, still shows the mentioned clasp with a red lacquered grained ground, which is golden surrounded by two laurel branches. In the middle of the clasp is the inscription: EHRENNADEL . The state coat of arms of the GDR also hangs on this clasp, but it is only attached to the middle of the clasp. The national coat of arms itself is surrounded by the golden inscription: ORGANE DER RECHTSPFLEGE DER GDR on a red background. All versions of this needle , which is more like a medal , were worn on the upper left side of the chest.
