Badge of honor of the Peace Council of the GDR

The Medal of Honor of the Peace Council of the GDR was an award from the Peace Council of the GDR (DFR) of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was awarded until 1963. They were awarded for many years of active participation in the peace movement.

Appearance and wearing style

The pin is round, has a diameter of 16 mm, later 15 mm and is made of gold-plated silver. It shows in the middle a flying dove of peace and below a recessed field with the raised embossed letters DFR . There was a horizontally soldered needle on the back. The pin was worn on the lapel of the coat or shirt.
