layout

The badge of honor consists of the association signet of the State Fire Brigade Association (LFV) - consisting of the uncrowned RLP state coat of arms , flanked by yellow-red flames and surmounted by crossed axes. The lower end is formed by a mirror image of oak leaves. The oak leaves and the metal parts of the axes are made in the metal color of the respective award. The badge has a diameter of around 10 mm. The ribbon buckle carries the miniature of the LFV's badge of honor in the center - bronze / silver / gold, on a red-blue-red ribbon.

Award

For the award of the badge of honor, the number of bronze and silver badges is limited to 50 honors annually, and the golden badge is limited to 20. Only merit and worthiness are decisive for the award. In individual cases, the board of directors can exceed the stipulated allocation quota.

Carrying method

The original pin of honor is worn as a miniature buttonhole for civilian suits. The matching ribbon buckle for the badge is worn on the left side over the breast pocket. Only the highest level awarded is worn, but not together with the original badge of honor.
