The Landesfeuerwehrverband Rheinland-Pfalz e. V. , LFV Rhineland-Palatinate for short , based in Koblenz , is the professional association of the Rhineland-Palatinate fire services . As an umbrella organization, it represents the interests of the 19 district fire brigade associations (KFV), seven city fire brigade associations (StFV) and the regional association of the Vorderpfalz region. The central association of the Rhineland-Palatinate fire brigades is the Landesfeuerwehrverband Rheinland-Pfalz eV (LFV Rheinland-Pfalz) based in Koblenz, which includes not only the representatives of the volunteer fire brigades but also groups of the professional fire brigades (BF) and works fire brigades (WF). The LFV Rheinland-Pfalz is a member of the German Fire Brigade Association (DFV) based in Berlin .
The State Fire Brigade Association represents the Rhineland-Palatinate fire brigades in the German Fire Brigade Association.
The association and its members are regularly present in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament, in committees, hearings and committees in Rhineland-Palatinate in order to represent the positions of the Rhineland-Palatinate fire service.

Working method
The State Fire Brigade Association of Rhineland-Palatinate maintains an office in Koblenz with several full-time employees.

Firefighters
In Rhineland-Palatinate, around 51,000 active fire brigades are registered in around 2,250 fire brigades, the proportion of women being 5.9%. There are also around 800 professional firefighters and 500 plant firefighters.
Youth and children's fire brigade
The youth fire brigades and children's fire brigades (for children from 6 years of age) are essential instruments for recruiting young people .
