Plaque of honor of the combat group e.g. V. 105

The plaque of honor of the combat group z. b. V. 105 was an unsustainable award of the German Air Force during the Second World War , which was donated by the combat commander of this group, Lieutenant Colonel Emil Deffner , between January and August 1942. At this point the combat group looked z. b. V. 105 already back on supply flight missions in Narvik and Crete . Further missions took place in the course of the Battle of Stalingrad , at which the combat group from November 23, 1942 to February 2, 1943, together with other air force units, supported the supply of the trapped troops from the air.

The rectangular badge made of zinc shows on its front in the lower third the rough and unclean relief representation of Europe with its national borders from the beginning of 1938, as the states Austria , Czechoslovakia and Poland can still be seen on it. Starting with the Nordic states like Sweden and Norway , the majority of the plaque shows a gasoline barrel that is provided with powerful eagle wings and the coat of arms of the combat group z. b. V. 105 reflects. To the left of this is the outward-facing inscription: NARVIK KRETA to read and to the right of the winged barrel the name KAMPFGRUPPE ZBV105 .
