The State of Styria's Decoration of Honor is a multi-level award given by the State of Styria . Along with the Ring of Honor of the State of Styria, it is the highest honor in the state.

The gold medal is a Maltese cross with a size of about 60 mm in connection with a triangular ribbon. In the middle is the Styrian coat of arms.
Decoration of honor of the state of Styria for science, research and art
In 2017 the Landtag of Styria decided to create a badge of honor to honor merits in the fields of science, research and the arts. The first award ceremony took place on May 4, 2017.
