The house was built in 1880. It was entered under No. E 005 on May 14, 1985 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .
architecture
The house is integrated in a former workers' settlement in a row of similar row houses with a garden plot at the rear . The buildings with a basement and eaves covered with a gable roof have two full storeys raised by a jamb wall and are each two window axes wide. House Eickener Höhe 18, built in 1880, is worth preserving despite the relatively simple Wilhelminian style facade and the noticeable modern changes due to its importance for the entire ensemble Eickener Höhe No. 12-30.
