Egg running or egg racing is a popular game of skill .
procedure
In this game, participants have to balance raw or boiled eggs on a wooden spoon or soup spoon in a race to a finish line. If the egg falls down in between, it can be put back on the spoon. The course can also be made more difficult by obstacles that have to be circled or crawled through. The winner is whoever crosses the finish line first. It is played on children's birthdays , school parties and other private or public festivities.
variants
Table tennis balls , small round stones or small potatoes can also be used instead of eggs . Relays with egg delivery are also suitable if there are a large number of participants or if adults are to be included.
Easter time
Egg running is preferably played at Easter at rural celebrations. Another egg run game at Easter with a long tradition is the Remlinger egg run .
