Eilean Dubh Mòr

Eilean Dubh Mòr ( German  large black island ) is an uninhabited island of the Slate Islands , the Inner Hebrides in Argyll and Bute in Scotland , which can only be reached by boat . It is located in the Firth of Lorn , between the islands of Lunga and Garbh Eileach , an island of the Garvellachs .

The area of ​​the island was covered by Rick Livingstone on 50 hectares and by Hamish Haswell-Smith (born 1928) including the tidal island Eilean Dubh Beag ( German  small black island ), which is connected to Eilean Dubh Mòr at low tide , on 65 hectares measured. The highest point is 53 m and carries a Promontory Fort .
