The unit for democracy and justice ( Amharic አንድነት ለዴሞክራሲና ለፍትህ ፓርቲ , transcribed Andenet ledemocracy ena lefitih ; English Unity for Democracy and Justice ), known under the name Andenet ( German  for unit ; abbreviation UDJ ) is currently the most influential extra-parliamentary political opposition party in Ethiopia .

The Unit for Democracy and Justice was founded on June 20, 2008 to run in the general Ethiopian elections on May 23, 2010. The chairman of the party is Birtukan Mideksa , the general secretary Andualem Aragie . The party base mostly comes from the environment of the parties that form the opposition coalition for unity and democracy .

The party's vision is to build a democratic Ethiopia that guarantees human rights, has a prosperous economy and has eradicated poverty. In addition, it wants to put the country Ethiopia, whose history goes back to antiquity, back into a stronger position in international comparison.

The Unit for Democracy and Justice has branches for the Ethiopian diaspora on all continents of the world and party organizations in all major cities and in all of the nine regions of Ethiopia . The party receives its support primarily from circles of the Ethiopians abroad.
