This is a list of all nationwide statistics published jointly by the State Statistical Offices and the Federal Statistical Office . The individual statistics are grouped in terms of content and clearly identified by hierarchical three-level numbering. This numbering is also used in the GENESIS databases. While one, two or three digits are used to group the statistics increasingly specific, the individual statistics are identified by five-digit numbers.

The rough breakdown of official statistics at the top hierarchy level is shown below.

    • 72 Public funds, institutions and companies with their own accounting
    • 73 taxes

Each three-digit grouping number contains one or more of the total of 605 individual statistics (including statistics that have been retired). For example, within the grouping number 733, there is only the statistic 73311 (sales tax statistics).

The EVAS numbers are suitable search terms in the GENESIS database and the regional statistics database. However, only some of these statistics are available in these databases.
