Retail sale

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Individual sale (abbreviation EV ) in the publishing industry describes the sale of individual goods in retail : The dealer purchases the goods from the wholesaler in large quantities or in bulk packs and sells them on individually.

In the EV, every title has to be attractive to the customer with every issue. The EV is the most important sales channel for popular magazines.

Goods that are only to be sold in a specified quantity (usually specified by the packaging size) are marked with the label “Not intended for retail sale”.
