The railway is a brewery in the city of Blumenau in the state of Santa Catarina in Brazil .

The brewery produces beer and "Chopp" (Brazilian name for draft beer ) according to the German Purity Law with a variety of flavors and fermentation methods. The name is based on an old railway station, which stood near the building in which the company now produces. Among other things, it is exported to the United States .

The beer is sold in Brazil by Brasil Kirin , which bought the brewery and produces several beers in Brazil in addition to soft drinks.

Although it is a fairly small brewery, it has won most of the awards of all Brazilian beer producers in recent years, including the gold medal at the European Beer Star 2009 in Germany in the 'Black Beer' category. The variety 'Railway Pale Ale' won the 2011 World Beer Awards in England.
