The Marienbad – Karlsbad Railway (Czech: Dráha Mariánské Lázně – Karlovy Vary ) was a private railway company in what is now the Czech Republic . The company was the owner of the Mariánské Lázně – Karlovy Vary railway in north-west Bohemia , located in the Bohemian Spa Triangle .

history

On May 21, 1896 the Marienbad – Karlsbad railway was granted the concession for the construction and operation of a locomotive railway Marienbad and Karlsbad, whereby an old concession of December 25, 1886 expired. The line was opened on December 17, 1898.

The operation was carried out by the kk Austrian State Railways (kkStB) on behalf of the Marienbad – Karlsbad Railway . After the First World War, the newly founded Czechoslovak State Railways ČSD took the place of the kkStB .

On January 1, 1925, the Marienbad – Karlsbad railway was nationalized by law and the line was integrated into the ČSD network.

Locomotives and wagons

On account of the Marienbad – Karlsbad railway , the kkStB acquired six locomotives of the tried and tested 99 series and three of the 60 series . The locomotives had the road numbers 99.10-16 and 60.518-521.
