In the railway accident at L'Ametlla de Mar on September 1, 1926, an express train derailed between the train stations L'Ametlla de Mar and Ampolla , in the province of Tarragona in Catalonia , Spain . At least 21 people died.

the accident

The train was traveling from Barcelona to Valencia on the Tarragona – Valencia line . A landslide triggered by heavy rains hit the train between the train stations L'Ametlla de Mar and Ampolla (now these are stops ) and crushed a passenger car .

At least 21 people died and another 50 were injured.
