In the Ludhiana railway accident, two trains collided on December 25, 1907 after the mistake of a dispatcher at Ludhiana , Punjab , British India .

The railway line of the North Western State Railway between Ludhiana and Ladhowal was single track . The dispatcher in Ladhowal inadvertently gave his colleague in Ludhiana permission to let a train on the track and at the same time allowed a train to enter the track from his side. The trains collided in a curve on a dam about 5 meters high .
consequences
21 people died, eight were also injured.
