Iron thread

The iron thread was a measure of length in Estonia . This (iron) thread was about a foot smaller than the ordinary thread (fathom) . The measure was valid until it was replaced by Russian measures in 1845.

  • 1 iron thread = 7.3667 feet (Russian and English) = 2.2453 meters
  • 100 iron thread = 105.23 Saschen
  • 1 iron thread = 88.4 inches (revaler)
