Saschen
The Saschen ( Russian сажень ), or Saschehn , was a Russian measure of length and is also known as the Russian fathom or thread . The Saschen, as a triple cubit , was mentioned as early as 1116 and designated as large Saschen from at least 1493.
According to an ordinance of January 3, 1843, the measure should have this size from January 1, 1845

When used for areas and volumes, these dimensions were valid:
- 1 square pocket = 4.55 square meters
- 1 cubic pocket = 9.71241 cubic meters
