The "Eiskellerberg near Siggeneben"

The Eiskellerberg near Siggeneben is a Neolithic or Bronze Age burial mound near the village of Siggeneben (municipality of Grube in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein ).

It is an oval mound of earth overgrown with trees and bushes with a length of approx. 50 and a width of approx. 30 meters and a height of approx. 6 meters. This makes it one of the largest burial mounds in the Ostholstein district and is located on a hilltop in a field.

Due to its striking height of 21 meters above sea level. - in the otherwise rather flat landscape, characterized by ground moraines - it is often shown on maps.

Its name is derived from the ice cellar of the nearby Augustenhof estate that was dug into it .

The burial mound is a listed building .
