Puerto Francisco de Orellana , also known as El Coca (original name), is a city in the Amazon lowlands of Ecuador . It has about 40,700 inhabitants (2010), is the capital of the province of Orellana and is located on the Río Napo , at the point of its confluence with the Coca . It is largely shaped by the oil industry.

With the Francisco de Orellana Airport located in the city, the city is a transit point for tourists and especially for workers in the nearby oil production facilities, which is why life here is relatively expensive compared to other cities in the country.
