Elco Brinkman

Elco Brinkman (born February 5, 1948 in Dirksland ) is a Dutch politician of the Christian Democratisch Appèl .

Life

Brinkman studied at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam . From November 4, 1982 to November 7, 1989, Brinkman was Minister for Health, Welfare and Culture in the Lubbers I and Lubbers II Cabinets of Ruud Lubbers . From September 14, 1989 to April 25, 1995, Brinkman was a member of the Second Chamber of the States General . Since June 7, 2011, Brinkman has served as a senator in the First Chamber of the States General . Brinkman is married to Janneke Brinkman-Salentijn and has three children. He lives with his family in Leiden.
