The electron T3L44 is a three-part, continuous niederfluriger tram - articulated railcar manufacturer's Elektrotrans from Lviv in Ukraine . Initially, only one example was built as a prototype, which has been in use with the Lviv tramway since 2014 with the road number 1180 . A five-part railcar with the number 1179, which is known as the Elektron T5L64 , has been in service there since 2013 . In 2016 a further seven T3L44 were procured there and classified with the numbers 1181 to 1187.

Elektrontrans was founded in 2011 by the Ukrainian company Elektron as a joint venture with TransTec Vetschau GmbH and Avtotehnoproekt LLC . Electron T19 trolleybuses are also produced .
