An electric vaporizer is a device with which a constant supply of odorous substances is achieved in a room. The vaporizer is plugged directly into a socket . Inside there are heating elements that heat the inserted fragrance platelets (mostly gel packs) and thus release the odor into the room air through evaporation .
Electric vaporizers are used in two areas: on the one hand to perfume air in the room, on the other hand to keep insects away ( insect repellent ).
The anti-insect vaporizers, called gel plugs in Austria , release repellants . The insecticidal active ingredients in electric vaporizers can be pyrethrum as well as transfluthrin or other pyrethroids .
