Elias Meiri Trio
The Elias Meiri Trio is a jazz trio in Austria. The trio was founded in 2005 by the well-known jazz pianist Elias Meiri . Courtney Maxwell Jones from Trinidad and Tobago was replaced by the Styrian drummer Jörg Mikula . Then the style of the trio changed: instead of combining the Jewish tradition with Afro-Caribbean rhythms, a synthesis with clear influences from the music of the Roma was created .
