Elkanah is an Israeli settlement in the West Bank that was founded in 1977. The Israeli settlement was named after the biblical Elkanah , the father of the prophet Samuel . Since 1981, the place has also been the administrative seat of the municipal administration of the same name (מועצה מקומית אלקנה). 3945 people live in the Israeli settlement (as of 2015).
