The Ellaktor AE (Greek own spelling. ΕΛΛΑΚΤΩΡ) is a publicly traded, international construction services company with headquarters in Kifissia in Athens. The Environment, Energy and Waste Management division operates as “Helector” and is based in Solms with a branch in Hamburg.

history

The predecessor companies Elliniki Technodomiki, Aktor and TEB were founded in the 1950s and 1960s, and in 1999 the companies merged to become the largest construction company in Greece. In 2008 the company name was shortened from Elliniki Technodomoki-TEB to Ellaktor . From 2001 the “Renewable Energies” area was expanded.

In 2003 the new environment, energy and waste management division was founded, which has held a 50 percent stake in Herhof GmbH since 2005. The projects implemented by Helector in Germany include biomass power plants and biowaste treatment plants.

The classic construction business was outsourced to the wholly owned subsidiary "Aktor".
