Ellegarden (original in capital letters) is a Japanese J-Rock - band , which consisted of 1998 by 2008.

Ellegarden consists of Takeshi Hosomi ( 細 美 武士 ; vocals, guitar, composition), Shin'ichi Ubukata ( 生 形 真 一 ; guitar), Yūichi Takada ( 高田 雄 一 ; bass) and Hirotaka Takahashi ( 高橋 宏 貴 ; drums).

history

The band was formed on December 31, 1998. Their first mini-album from their own production called Stupid was sold in May 2000. They were later signed by the Japanese indie label Dynamord , where they made their debut on May 23, 2001 with their album ELLEGARDEN . Important concerts by Ellegarden included the appearance in the opening act of the SUM 41 Japan Tour 2005 organized by the Canadian rock band Sum 41 in the Saitama Super Arena on February 26, 2005 or the concert in the International Exhibition Hall 9, 10, 11 ( 国際 展示 場9, 10, 11 ) of the Makuhari fair on March 24, 2006 in front of about 3000 spectators. Their last concert before the breakup took place on September 7th, 2008 at the Shinkiba Studio Coast in Tokyo .
