Elliðaey is an island in western Iceland . It is located in the very wide Breiðafjörður fjord north of Stykkishólmur . To the east are the island of Fagurey and the much larger Arney . To the south lies the island of Vaðstakksey . A lighthouse was built on Elliðaey in 1951. The ferry route from Stykkishólmur to Brjánslækur passes the island in the east.
