Elman FC is a Somali football club from Mogadishu . The club is one of the most successful football clubs in Somalia and is currently the record champion with nine championships. (As of February 4, 2014)
history
Elman FC was founded in 1993 by Ealman Ali Ahmed; they celebrated their first success just under a year later when they won the Somalia Cup. In 1998 they celebrated their first championship title, since then they have been champions almost continuously, from 2000 up to and including 2003 they became champions four times in a row. Their biggest rival is Banadir SC , who have won the most championships after Elman FC (four times). The two clubs have been playing the championship among themselves since 1998. The club has many fans across the country due to its successes. Many of the team's players are also part of the Somalia national team .
