Emil Moise-Szalla

Emil Moise-Szalla (born July 27, 1933 in Turnu Severin ) is a Romanian painter and set designer .

Life

In 1953 he graduated from the Art School and in 1960 the Nicolae Grigorescu Art Academy in Bucharest. He worked as a set designer for theaters in Constanța, Piteşti, Deva, Petroşani, Alba Iulia, Bydgoszcz and Toruń in more than 300 theater performances. As a painter he painted marine landscapes as well as old architecture - mostly in pastel colors.

His paintings are in private collections in North America, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Canada, Poland and the United Kingdom. The artist's pictures hang in galleries in Toruń (Poland), Honfleur, Vannes and Rennes (France) and in Bucharest (Romania).

He is a member of the Association of Visual Artists in Romania and a member of the Club Museum de Bretagne in Rennes (France).

Awards

  • 1992 in Caen (France) diploma medal "Grand Prix de Jury".
