history
Villalba is the capital of the fertile Terra Chá region . Around 1360, Pedro I handed over the castle and rule over the city to Don Fernán Pérez de Andrade as a reward for his heroic acts of war. All that remains of the castle today is the tower from the 15th century, in which there are six rooms of the four-star hotel . In addition, a new stone building in the country house style was built, where the remaining rooms and the restaurant are located.
