Emmanuel Mayonnade (born June 12, 1983 ) is a French handball coach . He was named Women's World Coach of the Year 2019.

Career

Mayonnade trained the French first division club Mios-Biganos from 2006 . Under his leadership, Mios-Biganos won the French Cup in 2009 and the EHF Challenge Cup in 2011 . In 2014, Mios-Biganos merged with CA Béglais to form Union Bègles Bordeaux-Mios Biganos (UMB-B for short), whose coaching he was. UMB-B won the EHF Challenge Cup during his tenure in 2015. After UMB-B had to file for bankruptcy at the end of 2015, Mayonnade took over the vacant coaching position from the French first division club Metz Handball . So far, Metz has won the French championship in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 and the French cup in 2017 and 2019. In February 2019, he also took over as coach of the Dutch national team . Under his leadership, the Netherlands won the world title at the 2019 World Cup.
