In the philosophy of science , empirical adequacy ( empirical adequacy ) denotes the empirical confirmation or "agreement with the facts" of a theoretical concept or law. 'Empirical adequacy' is seen by some epistemological groups as the better equivalent of the concept of 'the truth of a theory'.
