Encyklopédia Slovenska (literally Encyclopedia of Slovakia ) is an encyclopedia of the Slovak Academy of Sciences that focuses on topics related to Slovakia (nature, economy, culture, history, geography). It contains over 20,000 entries and over 7,000 illustrations and was published in six volumes by Verlag Veda between 1977 and 1982:

• Volume I .: A - D, 1977
• Volume II.:E - J, 1978
• Volume III .: K-M, 1979;
• Volume IV .: N-Q, 1980;
• Volume V .: R - Š, 1981;
• Volume VI .: T - Ž and supplements, 1982

The encyclopedia is considered the most important (already completed) Slovak encyclopedia and the most representative synthetic work on Slovakia, but on the other hand it partly reflects the communist ideology.
