Endanger
Endanger is a German music project founded in 1998 by Marc Pollmann and Rouven Walterowicz, which can be assigned to the Synthie Pop and Future Pop genre. Rouven Walterowicz is responsible for the lyrics, vocals and compositions, Marc Pollmann takes on the role of producer. Thematically, the texts are mainly reflections on interpersonal relationships. The music is characterized by sophisticated melodies and club-compatible arrangements.

Half a year after it was founded, Endanger signed a record deal with the Nuremberg label Hyperium / Hypnobeat under the direction of Oli Rösch. In 1999 her album Motion was released . A year later, the American label Dancing Ferret Discs took over worldwide distribution. The album was not a great success, but was considered an insider tip in the club scene.
In 2002 the second album Eternalizer by endanger was released on the label Dying Culture by Torben Schmidt in collaboration with the independent label Undercover Music Group . It was sold quite successfully in Europe. Eternalizer was briefly ranked 26th in the German DJ charts in the alternative category.
In 2003 the no longer available album Motion was reissued as Motion: Reloaded on the label Infacted-Recordings by Torben Schmidt. In 2004 the duo's official third album was released under the name Addicted to the Masses . Since the album was distributed in the USA via the Nilaihah Records label and in Russia via the Art Music Group, it became the best-known work of Marc Pollmann and Rouven Walterowicz. The album was in the Scandinavian Alternative Charts for three months and was in the top 10 of the South African Goth Charts. In 2005 the album Eternalizer was enriched with bonus material and reissued as Eternalizer V.2 . This re-release made it Endanger's most successful work.
In 2008, after a three-year break, the album Revolt was released . This work was controversial. The offensive lyrics and the stylistic change towards the heavy use of guitars did not meet with understanding everywhere. Nevertheless, songs by Revolt found their way into the clubs, as the club single The Club Files (a joint production with label colleagues from Vox Celesta) was able to establish itself in the top 20 of the German alternative charts for ten weeks. Three Revolt titles ( Mittendrin , Fool , Times Are Changing ) were released on The Club Files , along with the three most club-compatible tracks from Vox Celesta's current CD Via Regia .
In 2011 Endanger released the EP The Show Must Go On on their traditional label Infacted-Recordings . This made it to number 15 in the German Electronic Web Charts, to number 1 in the German Gothic Radio Charts and to number 18 in the German Black Scene Charts.
In 2013, Endanger released another long player on Infacted-Recordings after five years. The work was initiated with the release of the pre-single Mit dir unteriegen / Close to the Edge . In contrast to the album, this was only sold as a digital version via online music portals. It also only consists of the two songs mentioned in the name. Since Endanger traditionally always use German and English for their releases, this split title basically reflects the linguistic orientation of the band. The German contribution Mit Dir unteriegen developed much more successfully than the English one. Mit Dir unteriegen stayed in the top 15 song charts of the German Electronic Web Charts for eight weeks and reached position 9 at the top. The album Larger Than Life was released 14 days after the single. Rouven Walterowicz, who took over the production of this album for the first time, combined the electronic sounds with breakbeats and bigbeats as well as many arpeggios, which creates a lively sound structure. The texts, which were also written in German and English on this release, mainly deal with the topics of friendship and love. Larger Than Life stayed in the Top10 album charts of the German Electronic Web Charts for eight weeks, with the peak at position 5. The song My Dear , which comes from the album, was particularly successful in Greece. He reached 6th place in the iTunes Top10 dance charts, 93rd place in the iTunes Top 100 country charts and 4th place in the Dance Top40.
In 2014 another 2-track single was released - "Burn down this house from the inside" via Infacted-Recordings, which was only distributed online. The single stayed in the German Alternative Single Charts for eight weeks (two weeks in the bullets, six weeks in the top 20). The peak was at number 11. The title song made it into the Global Gothic Charts (four weeks, Peak 19) and among the TOP15 songs in the German Electronic Web Charts. He stayed there for a total of nine weeks (one week bullets, eight weeks top 15) and reached 10th place in the peak.
In 2015 the digital 2-track single "Das ist alles" was released on Infacted-Recordings. It stayed in the German Electronic Web Charts for eight weeks (highest position: 8) and for two weeks in the German alternative single charts (highest position: 16). The single was also listed in the bullets of the Native 25 charts for four weeks, but missed the jump in the regular Native 25 charts.
In February 2017 the digital 2-track single "Es ist nie silent" was released via Infacted-Recordings. This work by endanger remained without chart placement.
